Audit
....ISM §12.1.... The Company should carry out internal safety audits on board and ashore at intervals not exceeding twelve months to verify whether safety and pollution-prevention activities comply with the SMS. ISM §12.1

Safety Management Systems require regular and systematic reviews to ensure they continue to meet the requirement and that it is performing for the company. Having an outside review of your safety management system provides an unbiased view and can also assist in preparing a company and vessel for any regulatory audit that may be taking place in the future.
The International Safety Management (ISM) Code requires the company to carry out an internal audit of the vessel and company at intervals no more than twelve months. This also checks that all persons delegated with ISM related tasks are acting in conformity with the company’s responsibilities and requirements under the code. This can be a time-consuming task and where SeaComply can help as our team can come in and undertake these obligations for the company and report back with the recommendation of the observations and non-conformity’s that may have been found. We will review and test the SMS and make sure the Master and Crew are implementing the system on board the vessel as they should and that key personel are aware of their responsibilities under the SMS.
We are trained auditors and have many years experience operating boats, systems, refitting, safety systems checks and auditing. We offer either one off or an annual audit to ensure that your systems or remote operating areas are operating to within your own procedures and legal requirements. We also offer pre third party audit readiness checks – so if you are about to have an audit by an awarding or regulatory authority, we can pre-audit to see where there are any cracks.
Health Checks
....MSN 1869 - Domestic Safety Management §13.1 ...Every company should undertake a review of the safety management system of all ships at least once in every three years...

Marine Comply offer company or vessel system health checks. These can be targeted on a particular system, area of operation or service, or a broader review to see if the operation is running as it should or in compliance.
These health checks can be used for second-party audits of another operator's system or vessel before purchase, or a long-term charter.
